Thanks to Emily & Philip for choosing us to photograph their wedding!  They were married at the Braselton Stover House way on up north of Atlanta.  Nice place!  Hang around for more of this beautiful wedding once we get (hopefully) caught up here.

Peoples was sweatin’ it was so hot!  Still, Stacey & Javan kept their eyes on the prize and rocked out the photos.  They were married in the charming Barnwell Chapel on the Berry College campus up in Rome, GA.  One day I’ll get some more on here, so stay tuned!

We recently got back from covering Courtney & David’s wedding out on coastal North Carolina.  It was a pretty awesome time!  Stay tuned for more!

Martha & Brian had their wedding celebration at the Hotel Palomar in Atlanta.  Their wedding was out in Palm Springs during my insane 3-weddings-in-3-states weekend, and their celebration was here a couple weeks later.  Can I tell you how much I *love* this diptych?  I love this diptych very much.  It totally fits their personality.  More later!  Take it easy!

I love this sequence I got of Mindi’s veil on attack.  :)

This is one of those situations where things happen so quickly that you have to react before you can really think about it.  I’ve posted before on the subject in When Champagne Attack and also about my bird formation shot, aka my “trained geese” title some of my friends bestowed on it.

In the veil shot, if you didn’t realize the breeze you heard coming across the pond was headed straight for the shot, you might have missed the first half of the sequence, and I think in certain instances (like this) the sequence makes the shot(s) all the more wonderful.  So much of it is running through different scenarios in your head, stuff that may or may not happen, but that at least gets you in the frame of mind to be “ready” so to speak so that you don’t have to really think about it when it happens.  It’s kind of like a rehearsal in your mind, not planned but definitely anticipated.

It’s what I live for.  It’s the unplanned that makes a wedding uniquely yours, gives you a story to tell.    See ya!

So Tahira and Kash finished up their wedding ceremony and celebrations in Miami, and then they bussed everyone up to Atlanta to participate in their valima the Atlanta History Center.  More to come!

Becca & John were married at the Lioncrest venue on the Biltmore Estate.  Such a wonderful evening and so much love.  It was a perfect day!  Stay tuned for more!!!

I’m just now recovering from what has to be my biggest weekend ever.  It started with flying down to Miami Thursday to start covering Kash and Tahira’s wedding ceremonies.  I shot through about 2am Saturday morning, packed, cleaned up, charged batteries, then hit an early flight to Asheville to cover Becca & John’s beautiful wedding on the Biltmore estate.  Zack and Brian were already there from the day before.  Then we drove down Sunday for me to cover Kash and Tahira’s valima, which was easily enough coverage for a full wedding in itself.  What a weekend!

So Kash and Tahira were married at the beautiful Miami Beach Resort and Spa.  The hotel is gorgeous, and the ballroom where the ceremony and reception were held is really wonderful.  This was my first time shooting a Muslim Indian wedding.  Similar but different, know what I mean?  The biggest difference is that the ceremony is soooo short!  It’s maybe 10-15 minutes, so you gotta be ON!  Anyway, I can’t wait to drop all the awesome images!  Stay tuned…

Udi & Obie are both Nigerian and are getting married in Atlanta.  I think it was my wedding work in Nigeria they were drawn to among other things.  Oh, and Obie happens to know my very first Naija bride, Chichi!  Seriously, how hot is this wedding going to be?  I can’t wait!!!

They chose to do the session at their condo, and holy moly there are so many places there to do really nice portraits.  I think we did ok!

Given some bad weather?  Turn it to your advantage!
