First Look! Jennifer & Trey, Primrose Cottage, Roswell, Georgia
Should I talk about how freakishly capable the D3 is in low light images? Nah. It’s a given at this point. This exit was soooo dark I literally could only see something like a white dress coming my way. Exposure, framing and manual focus all completely guessed. They were just under spotlights, so I had to quickly go “ummmmm, about here I think” with the exposure. I don’t normally zone focus with the 35 but I had to this time. Things were happening too quickly and it was much too dark even for the mighty D3. I was at ASA 4000, 1/13th at 2.0 on the run. Insane!
Jennifer and Trey came to me through the awesome Monica & Sid, whose wedding preview post will be coming soon, I swear! I knew from Jennifer & Trey’s engagement session that they had a real easy time having fun. Indeed, when Jennifer’s own Facebook status update the day of the wedding was “It’s my wedding day bitches!” you know you’re in for an easy going client! Congrats, Jennifer & Trey!
