Nina’s Grandmother

This post comes from my trip to Nigeria to photograph the Igba Nkwu Nwanyi and Catholic cereomony of Nina & Efiom. I think Nina’s grandmother’s smile is permanent and infectious. We visited her on our first trip to Dikenafai to prep the house for the traditional ceremony. She was just beaming at the sight of her family. She made us some really good food!

I *love* this photo. I just love it.

Look at the years and years and years of life represented here. It’s really something.

She may be a grandmother, but she sure doesn’t sit around! She is busy busy busy.

Just a little vignette in her sitting room. I could have photographed this house and Nina’s grandmother for a good while.
I promise there are wedding pics coming! Stay tuned!
