Congrats, Jen & Attila!
The internet is amazing with its power to connect you with people who otherwise would never have even heard of you. That’s pretty obvious, but sometimes it reaches the surreal. Attila runs a photo blog (with an incredible sense of humor, btw) that was seeing some traffic because of me, but that’s about all he could find out. He called me out on his blog one day, and I commented back with the scoop. He looked me up and started asking me about wedding photography. No, he wasn’t getting into wedding photography. He was getting married. So I was all Hey, let’s do this! and he was all Hells yeah! and before you know it, I’m hopping on a plane to Toronto to shoot his and Jen’s wedding.
We got through the guys’ photos without it raining, but by the time the girls were ready, it was absolutely pouring, so there was a lot of outdoor plans sidelined in favor of “making inside work.” The gallery provided the background, and I provided the execution. I believe the amazing stuff we got inside wouldn’t have happened to that degree if the weather was nice as we’d have used most of the alloted time for outdoor photos. Also, during dinner, the sunset that broke would have been nowhere near as insanely incredible if it had not been storming. We definitely made quick use of that while it was around.
